iPhone 16e
The iPhone 16e, starting at $599, is a more affordable model inspired by the iPhone 14. It features a 6.1-inch OLED display with Face ID and a traditional notch (no Dynamic Island).
Powered by the A18 chip and 8GB of RAM, it supports Apple Intelligence and debuts Apple’s new C1 modem, which improves efficiency over Qualcomm’s versions. It supports sub-6GHz 5G but not mmWave.
The phone has a single 48MP Wide camera, capable of 1× and 2× zoom, but lacks ultra-wide and telephoto lenses.
Battery life is a major highlight—up to 26 hours of video playback, the longest among 6.1-inch iPhones. Charging is via USB-C, but there’s no MagSafe and wireless charging is limited to 7.5W.
Connectivity is slightly pared down: no Ultra Wideband chip and Wi-Fi 6 only (no 6E or 7 support).
It retains safety and connectivity features like Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via Satellite, and Messages via Satellite.
Key Features:
· Face ID
· A18 chip
· C1 modem (Apple’s first)
· No MagSafe charging
· Affordable $599 price
Overall: The iPhone 16e delivers strong performance and excellent battery life at a lower price, but with reduced connectivity and charging features compared to premium models.
